So I'm back to doing art now that Exams are over, results are in 4 days now eep
Anyways so what better way to get back into it then contests?

Sooooo without further ado, here are some contests I'll be entering hehe:

Happy Halloween! In light of the season, I'm hosting a small contest, for this one, all you have to do is draw either Siell or Zanzibar (linked below) in a Halloween costume, no explicit nsfw (such as fetishes or actual porn) are allowed, but risque costumes are perfectly fine!
Edit: This Contest will be extended until December 11th, at which point if there is not a minimum of at least 4-6 entries this contest will unfortunately be cancelled.

Anyways too much nostalgia is washing over me lately, since childhood has ended and I'm now an adult (18) but FOREEVERR WE ARE YOUNGGG!! *cough* 

I'll stay young at heart.

On a more serious note, I'm thinking about making an artbook/ zine. Would anyone be interested? It'll be very small and if you are in it will be a featured artist. I'm thinking it'll be mainly about childhood.

Hey! How's everyone?
Hope you're all doing well, I haven't been on exactly too often and I'm really sorry for that.
Hoping to increase activity but currently I'm in my final year so I'll be really busy. I only have 1 more term to go!! That's around 12 weeks of school and then I finish 22nd of November *o*!!!
This is pretty long and rambly and more of a documentation of my thoughts but here it goes

I still don't know what I want to do in the future. I'm still confused between pursuing art? Or possibly doing a mix or simply not pursuing it at all. Any advice would be nice \^v^/ if you've been in my position before.

I'm from an Asian family, hence I feel a slight pressure to pursue something stable and 'prestigious' however although I'm encouraged to attend a good uni my parents are supportive of me pursuing art. Hence I'm pretty conflicted. Disclaimer I do enjoy my other options as well, though I'm concerned they may not lead somewhere I'll enjoy in the end and how stable each choice is.

MY OPTIONS: 
I'm tossing up between doing a double degree in Commerce/ Business with I.T. at the moment.
I personally enjoy starting projects and business though I'm not sure if it'll be how I imagine, I currently do have a shop which I started at the end of last year and honestly it's quite fun running it albeit loads of work (Not the best idea to start in the final year I guess ehehe) I.T. I'm also interested in though of course it has it's own merits now being the digital age and all. Most sturdy option I suppose, My concern is that it won't lead to something I'll enjoy in the long term, or it won't lead to a career I'm interested in. I'm pretty interested in business/ entrepreneurial stuff rather than the typical corporate job which of course has its own merits.
 
My other option I'm also considering is doing International Business by itself whilst taking up studies of art possibly online? I've seen the constant argument of pro vs cons of art school and the online courses seem well done at the same time. I enjoy travel (Cough cough Japan ahah) and from what I see the course looks pretty good, a good mix between practical/ interests. Though I'm concerned as to whether the course will lead to any viable employment opportunities in the end.

Next is doing purely Art/ pursuing an Animation course. I've held a heavy interest in the storytelling/  development of world aspect and would like to develop this skill. Of course design/ animation/ concept art are great too but my main interests lie is storytelling which  I feel as if animation holds best up to. My worry here is what an actual animation job will be like and viable job opportunities. From what I gather, majority of animation studios in Australia are unlike the 'storytelling' ones in California/ America and are focused heavily on the commercial side- Special Effects and advertisements. So I think unless I'm willing to study at a US uni they'll be a lack of opportunity (International study costs are insane in one word, I don't want to burden my family with such a fee and I'm not sure if it's entirely worth it). So the question would be, how would I be able to get into the industry.

The year is coming to an end soon (For me it feels like that at least ahaha- 1 term left) so I keep having thoughts about this. I guess I'll find my way in the end anyways and will do everything to get where I want, I am determined to get there. I try to keep my head up, ambitious and determined. However at the same time I have my thoughts of doubt/ confusion. 

I've been shortlisted for a 1-year scholarship to study in China and am immensely grateful with incredibly high chances of acceptance. However the thought of uni still weighs heavily on my mind, since I'll still have to decide on uni at the end of this year.

If you've read to far, congrats you deserve a cookie. *Whew* at least I got this off my chest, at least I'll be able to look at this in 5 years time and laugh at my confusion ahaha (or not).
